Generic sterndrive

My buddy wants to replace his mercruiser with a generic replacement built in florida, I won't name the co.
Anyone Know about these? are they a good Outdrive? He wants to use it in a 22' searay with a 350 chev.

Its sterndrive engineering, I just didn't want to sound like I was placing anadd for them.
