View Full Version : 16' Sportster ?????

Hey guys, this is Diane. Marc has found this boat that looks like a 16' Sportster but with a Hollman Moody drive with windshield. The cowl for the engine looks like a big hump. Deadrise seems to be less than 24 degrees (alot less) but would like to know if it might be a Donzi. No pics yet but would like to figure it out.

Champ's we're 17', wide and flat deck, round transom, left steer...

MadPoodle is right...it's a Champ. Holman Moody did the engine/drive installation for many of the Champ's in the early 70's. Power was either a Ford 302 or a 351W and Volvo drive. I had an '18 with the 302. Left side helm with wrap around cocktail seating. Very Donzi like....well constructed....great boat....!!!
