I have the opportunity to buy a 1976 Donzi ski boat. It is 17 ft (on the title,) and has a 351 ford and a panther jet. Boat looks ok but needs the normal stuff for being that old. The question is: Is it worth buying( $400.00) and getting it going again? I do all my own work and enjoy working on them. Help me make up my mind.

YES, YES, YES...End of story regardless of condition. There are more $$ in parts on that rig than will ever hurt you financiallyat that price. The Panther has me curious, not a factory offering as far as I know, but it is definately worth $400 bucks. No brainer to me... :D

Buy it and show us pics. If you have to part it out you will still be money ahead.

Thats an instant money maker, tow it home! You could resell it for more. I do not know if the jet package was original but if so I think it is a rare one.

You might want to make sure it's a Donzi first. There were no 17' Donzi ski boats at the time. There are plenty of boats out there wearing Donzi badges that are not actual ddonzi boats. Check the Model List here, make sure it's a real Donzi, then bring it home.

After I looked at the boat it says DONTI on the title. I don't know who made this one. I didn't buy it. Thanks

Just for S&G did you look at the pic's in the Model List to compare? Could be a typo, you know DMV employs only the best!
