What's up with NO Donzis at boat shows?

So, do dealers know something about boat shows that the rest of us don't?

Are they not worth the expense?

Too many lookers, too few buyers?

I just returned from the Grand Rapids, Michigan boat show (a real nice regional show that's been held since 1946) and Michigan's only Donzi dealer (located in Grand Rapids) wasn't there! WTF? What's up with that, Rick?

Michigan is arguably the state with the most boater registrations and its only Donzi dealer doesn't do shows? :kaioken:


Earlier, someone else reported a DNS at Cleveland, I believe.

I think it depends more on the show , if it is geared more to the pontoon or cc crowd or if the show costs more they bring those type boats or fewer boats.
I saw a big difference between the NY show and the AC show
alot more go fasts at AC and from smaller companies like kryptonite and from the west coast eliminator was there
I took the ny show off the calendar and it's AC from now on
someday I'll go to the Miami show when i'm there visiting Joe and my money at college ;)
it got to cost an arm and a leg to get a booth at the Javitz center so I can see why there are less go fast when the 20 foot CC is the hot seller

last boat show i went to was in det. 10 years ago.
saw the blackhawk with the gold plated eye hooks, ect.

i dont think donzi has been to a show since.
