Well it is official, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his hole, saw his shadow, and ran back in. Guess 6 more weeks of winter for you northern folks.

Our very own Staten Island Chuck, the groundhog from the Zoo here did not see his shadow this morning..so we're hoping he's right and this winter will be over soon..we could use some warmer weather  http://www.donzi.net/ubb/smile.gif

Humm, I am not an expert, but when you talk about critters on who live in the ground, whould you rather have "ground Chuck" or "Ground Phil-et"? LOL

Ha!

I'm a bit slow this morning..so it took me a minute to actually get that..you're right though..i'd much rather go with the "Phil-et" as opposed to the "Chuck"

Either way..we better get some damn warm weather..i'm sick of seeing this snow :jestera:

"You want a prediction about the weather, you're asking the wrong Phil. I'll give you a winter prediction: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life. "

Not too bad here today though..gonna be in the 40's and up close to 50 this weekend!

MadPoodle; If the tourists went away, then you might have to start paying income tax. If they gave me back my 40% income tax, I would welcome Everyone in Florida, Mississippi,Texas,Alabama.....hell everyone south of the Mason Dixon line..........Ed

For the most part I like the tourists since it allows me to meet a large cross section of people and get a taste of other cultures. However, there are two things that drive me nuts about some of the tourists and makes tourist season incredibly frustrating: their inability to drive an automobile( or consideration for other drivers), and the condescending attitude some bring to florida. For some reason, some tourists think that Florida's entire economy rests solely on their very shoulders, therefore they can act like an A-hole. If a person is that great by virtue of the state or country they are visiting from, I would encourage them to stay there, we floridians are not worthy. The rest of you, please come as often as you like, the weather is almost always nice, and the locals try to be too (unless you are one of the aforementioned).
