I'm guessing late 60's early 70's.Boat has no serial or model# anywhere I could find.Hollman Moody insig under deck lid. Big block ford, for with all original H/M parts! Even Volvo 270 drive has H/M on it.

FE fords have a unique intake. The pushrods go thru the intake, so the intake goes under the valve cover .5 to .75 inches. I have never read of a big block ford (other than the 385 series 460cid) behind outdrives.

This boat is very close to me.#'s on intake, block or head be a give away on C.I.D. ?What about firing order. I am positive its not 289-351.

Almost all FEs have the number "352" cast into the front of the block (right side behind my alt on my Ranchero). This designates as that series of engines (the 352 was the first cid of the series that went until the mid 70s in trucks). So, even a 428 CobraJet would have 352 cast on the front of the engine. I am at work and don't have the other codes. The distributer is on the front. The FE is the only engine family I have ever seen to have the intake go under the valve cover. Probably others, but ...

Sea Bird or Anacapri

Funny... before I got to Buizilla's response I was thinking that the lines of the hull are definitely reminiscent of Harry Schoell's work.. but I ruled out Seabird because their strakes (only one pair) never made it to the transom and I can't recall Anacapri making a hull with proportions as substantial as that one. Windscreen kinda like a GT 21. Would be interested to know what it is for sure .

Is there a lot of classic boats sitting around in St Louis? If so, why?

$500.00 bought the boat.I am picking it up saturday.I will be parting this boat out.Hey craig it's a FE 352!Supposedly this boat ran before it was parked 5 years ago.I'll know this weekend if the block is still good. The drive and H/M parts are worth the 5.Might get lucky with the motor.

Hey Mark yes alot of boats here in St. Louis! The Alton pool which dams up the mississippi river for 30 miles has some kind of record for docked boats.I can't recall exact phrasing of this stat.Since i'm always on the lookout for volvo's I come across 68-74 boats.

Don't you think you should find out who built it before you part her out?

Don't you think you should find out who built it before you part her out?Transom and floor are wasted. I will do a search for monza marine. Tom's post seems very confident on make.
