Well...after countless tries I reached a milestone today. 70.5 on the gps. She ran great...no chine walking either. 5000 rpm on a Merc 24 pitch prop. Water had light ripple (5-6inch) Think i'm going w/ a TURBO 25 which will more importantly lower that 5000 to 4800rpm or so and maybe +1mph.

All in all 70 or so was my goal.....not bad for an ol' 454 Mag :)

Buizilla...head shot for you...kinda tight now in that trailer box  :smash:

Congrats on the milestone. When you come down for the Miami Boat Show you should really try the 23 Hydro Q4 I have. I still have that 25 Turbo if your interested. If you are I will call and get a price. Looks like your all bundled up..how cold was it. Jim :checkered

Air22 I may have a better Idea. Percision Propellers is comming out with 5 new designs. Since I will be the prop buisness shortly, we need to hook up and do a try before you by outing. I am finishing up on my house on the lake and should be in full swing by the spring/summer. After I am in Atlanta on a nice big lake-Lanier. After all we got Tomahawk to 72 GPS we should get yours close or better. We need to talk at Miami, you too Doc. BTW Volvo props are on the way-at long last.

Congrats Dwight! Listen to those GA fellows. They took my stock 454 MAG Bravo1 with 1.36:1 gear to 69.8 on GPS. I too was hoping for that 70 mark, but the gear in my drive needed some more HP. Mirage 23" went 65.6 or so, Turbo1 22" got her to the 68.7 or so and then adding a Hydromotive nose cone got her to the 69.8. You shouldn't have any trouble bumping your 70 + up a couple more!
