Polished zinc finish question

I was looking at some dominator carbs, that have a polished zinc finish on them. My question is how long will this zinc finish hold up on a salt water boat?

Probably as long as it takes to read your post. Zink is why brass isn't used in boats, it doesn't last long. :yes:

Thats what I thought, since they use zinc for anodes.

They do reasonably well if they are painted, look at all the stock OEM stuff lasts for a long time. Might be a consideration in some jazzy color.
