This may be a little off thread, but when is the Atlanta Automobile Show? Last time I went is was in late April. We had a Donzi Gathering that weekend with the Lanier crowd. The weather on Thursday and Friday was cold and wet so I went to the Atlanta Automobile Show and the Walter Mitty Race at Road Atlanta whilewe waited for the sun to come out, which it finally did on Saturday.
I was hoping to score another triple again. Walter Mitty Race is April 30-31 this year. Want to host a Donzi gathering that weekend somewhere near Tomahawk and Big Grizzley's place? I liked the Jameson Inn. It was extremely convenient and affordable. But I can't seem to find a link or thread on the Atlanta.com site that references the car show. That was truly amazing and enjoyable.
I'm thinking a Lanier event would be fun. It was last time I went.

I looked up info on Atlanta car show and found nothing for 05.
Road Atlanta is fun when you can relate to the cars being raced such as the old Z cars etc. If a Donzi gathering occurs
, let me know.

I see you live in Jacksonville, How is the run down the St. Johns river? Where are optiminum crusing areas? Looking for other waterways to explore over a long weekend! Thanks..

Thanks Matty! Boat ran great. Ran it hard for 45 min. with no issues...great run.
Tango has the line on a fun filled weekend in Atl.
Toona's got the line on the race! For me, its hard to be a spectator too long. Thats where the Donzi comes in!

Both TRAILER BOATS magazine and Boat/US magazine have done full articles on the St. Johns River within the past few months. From the ocean to central Florida, the river covers about 200NM of absolutely spectacular boating. Visual appeal can be had in beautiful and modern downtown Jacksonville, or the wilderness of ancient Florida. The best thing to do is come to the Angel Aid Poker Run in April you will get a nice slice of the northern section of the river during that event. Also, you should attend the Palatka event each year because that is on the central part of the St. Johns.
If you want to do a day trip from your location, I strongly recommend you put in near Lake George and travel north or south from there. A good chart of the river is important. And remember that the channel markers are there to protect your outdrive. No rocks, oyster beds, or tree stumps, but a gooey sandbar can be just an uninviting. Especially when you are trying to push off while being closely observed by a pair of floating eyes about 8 inches apart. :alligator

I'll be putting my new 05 Classic 16 in the water for the first time at Big Creek in a few weeks. Sounds as if there is a concentration of 16's on Lanier.

Let me know if you need any help. I am 15 miles from the ramp. Just ran my boat in Jacksonville at the AngleAid event, what a rough day with 40 mph winds making the water too much for the 16. 22's had a time under same conditions!

Try to make it to the AOTH on Cumberland. We would love to see that 16 in person.
