I have been looking for one of these boats for ever. :embarasse

It is a shame about the seventies colors "cantstandum"

She does look very clean.

Scotty, I was offered it for less than that, way less a while back. It was in Portland Oregon and the fella moved to California. Didn't wan't to take it with him. Appears he did anyway.

Nice mind you, just that it was cheaper.

-------Well....I Wasnt thinking of painting the whole boat for starters. The deck and cockpit appeared pretty nice. This boats looks could be substantially upgraded with a solid color hull (maybe maroon?). Around here I could get the hull done for less than three grand. Thats for a good base/clear paint job. Material might run a bit more on any of the more bionic paints.
-------Those who have seen my El Pescador seem to think the paint is OK and the hull sides on that cost me a grand done! Ill take the $15000 and send it somewhere and pocket $10000............Bill S...........Merry Christmas!!!!!

----------As far as trailers are concerned. I have a guy up here that will sand-blast and paint a frame for $600/700. It isnt a spectacular paint job (no metalfake LOL), but very presentable.

Take it easy Bill  . I can only comment from experience. If your gonna mask everything off and give it an Earl Shibb job..........well then I guess thats fine too.

But then again, some bell bottom pants, high heel shoes and 3 or 4 gold necklaces and you wouldn't need to do anything with this boat :outtahere

Merry Chrismas,

Ken

--------They must do a bunch of over-charging over around Greenwood Lake, huh? "Earl Shibb" live around there or something? Cause he dont do no paintin round here. Obviously, I did the disassembly as well as the reassembly. I thought we were talking paint prep and paint only. Im wondering if we are on the same page. Maybe you are talking about some kind of graphics or something..............Bill S

there are more nooks and crannies on one of these boats, not to mention you could probably leave a grinder on the hull unattended for an hour or so before you hit raw glass, they are built like tanks and have all sorts of wierd spots to paint.
a squirt job would mean painting everything the deck the floor all of the storage lockers, a very labor intense job that I have seen done in person, when they glued done the teak they meant it not to come loose EVER!!!!
Kenny knows he just restored one, that came out awesome
( yes even with me helping)
yes they are one of Don's boats but they truely are a different breed.

Kenny looks like they took out the side storage bins in the later BB boats maybe a winter project ;) for ya
I think we could unload your 350 with the stainless exhaust we'd have to drill the transom again

Ken,

-------After remembering how much work was involved in your restoration and remembering that your beautiful boat is all black I can understand a high paint cost. Ill bet there was a bunch of block-sanding on that puppy. Black is never cheap, but always striking. Merry Christmas!...............Bill S

sawzall chain saw what ever it takes ;)
