I just purchased Ken Reese's 1984 18C. One of the things I liked best about it was the bolster padding along the sides of the interior. I have not seen this in any other 18. Ken said he has seen it before but it was also a 1984 boat. It raised the question in our minds as to whether it was something special for the 20th Anniversary. I believe the 40th Anniversary was a 2004 which would make the 20th in 84.

I hope I posted the pic correctly..I don't do this much.

My '83 18 2+3 had the same wrap around configuration. I've also seen one other just like it.

Magoo... That is what I was expecting to hear. I am surprised I haven't seen it before. I've only owned classics over the past 5 years but I always liked them. Was this a price option back then?

Congrats, pretty boat!
the side padding through research i have found, was a $1500 option avail till 1985. maybe they will bring that option back? I only know of one other 18 that has it. have fun with your new donzi

Cig SS... I am surprised you don't want to finish the X18 after all of the work over the past year and a half. Although I have to admit, I am happy with my turn-key purchase.
