Well Nancy had decided the '01 F250PSD 4x4 had seen enough abuse and the kids need more space than the SCab, so we traded her at almost 100,000 miles of great service.
This time F350 4x4 with two full doors extra and instead of XLT we went Lariot with all options (just about). Pissed there were no running lights on the roof and no block heater, BUT, they will come soon enough.
Ready to tow the 33 beast in comfort for 2005.
Sarasota DONZI RALLY and 1000 islands is on our planning list for trips!

No it doesn't say heater delete....
I will be looking. Poodle, you helped me find the cord on the last one! Thanks.

UPDATE, no cord......

CUDA, no, 2004, I have Xplan, for an '05, $7K difference plus $2K rebate, Total 9K off, on a F250 that started at $47065.00, so this was a great deal and much cheaper, comparatively speaking, I got ALLOT more truck and goodies for less money up front. I did loose about $1700 on my trade arguments.

Do you need block heaters on these, do they not have grid heaters for start up?? although block heaters would be nice for the winter.

Jim I'm glad you posted that....between the Miami MadDog bragging that the heater would put him out of the truck, and the rest of the guys who live south of the Mississippi worrying about block heaters I was just about to LOOSE IT ... :D :D

Well in case you're wondering, if you plug a 7.3 PSD in when it's still warm, the temp can drop 70 degrees from your temp and it will still start.

What you really need is a circulating heater :D

What you really need is a circulating heater :DI just happen to have one of these in my new coach. A Hurricane Hydronic furnace heater, and engine assist heat.... and ohhhh boyyyyy does it work. :lookaroun

Or longjohns. What a bunch of wimps.

Try breaking up ice on water buckets at 21* and I'll respect you in the morning...

(Congratulations, by the way, Bryan... I'm thinking it needs a flag decal running down the sides to match the boat!)

Wow, a girl respecting me in the AM?? That'd be a first :smash::smash:

Don't get too excited, that would only be after she'd numbed herself first...

Hey Bryan. Very nice TRUCK! After having my Tahoe, 4 doors is the only kind of truck I'll have. I agree, it needs the red, white and blue down the side to match your Donzi. Santa is doing a wonderful job already! Take care and happy holidays to everyone in VA.

Phil, they might be able to get there trucks started in the Great White North, but they'll never be able to drive up here.....
Just look what happens to traffic anytime it snows more than half an inch anywhere North of Philadelphia..... :D :D :D

Which begs that great old joke, which I'll re-tell only the punch line, "Ok," said the doctor, "num, num, num, num!"

Very Nice Bryan, I know you'll like it very much. I will be curious to know how well the shorty pulls the 33.

And there I thought I was the only one in Donziland who's ever had to get up before the sun and make the rounds with a 20# sledge and an axe to break ice for livestock! In my opinion, one of the greatest inventions EVER is the stock tank (or bucket) heater--just plug it in and leave the axe in the woodshed.

I think you should donate the new truck to the Donzi registry and auction it off, you get half and the board gets half.
Then you might as well donate the 33ZX too since you wont have a truck to tow it with.

Tuna, hot chicks don't wear long underwear. And why do you folks call them Long Johns, that name refers to seafood and porn.

Nice truck Bryan!
Any future plans to re-program it?
They can do a lot with the 6.0 Diesel, my buddy can
light up the tires for 100 feet and get 16 MPG!

No plans of such... I personally do not believe in the chips.
My favorite diesel website forum has many concerns over how the turbo reacts to heavy loads with 6.0. I am not worried, if I was I would have bought a Duramax.....
And why buy the big power only to modify it?
$$$ Don't add up in the long run... it does for some, but not all, I won't risk it, being an economics major I could argue the stats.

I love the truck and will post the first time she tows the beast.

Jack, cold as hell in VA too, NorEaster to hit tomorrow, it may even snow!
We had two nights in the 20's. The 6.0 fired fast and smart, I was impressed compared to the 7.3 cold start.

Rumor had it that ALL 6.0's had block heaters.
I posted on www.dieselstop.com and a guy told me just where the thing was wire tied, just crawled in the snow to look.
LOW AND BEHOLD! There was the cord and plug!
Life is good, 12 degrees and snow.
