I have a bravo X- with a transom assembly. The drive is like new with 30 minutes run time on it.
The transom assembly is clean and tight.

$3800.00

1.50:1
Bravo drives are Both RH or LH just like a Volvo, just depends which way you connect the cable.

So Ted, than why do folks always advertise (even on OSo) RH or LH when they talk about these things? The Volvo and two cotter pins is a dream. Is the Bravo this easy to play with in regards to rotation? Does the top cap like this reversal of fortune? Thrust bearings etc? Loading?

Lenny,
I dont know why people on OSO do what they do.........
Maybe they are un-informed.
All you have to do is, change the hook up at the shifter.
Push or pull= left or right rotation on the Bravo drive.
All the internals are built to spin either direction.
This is ONLY on the Bravo....not other Mercury drives.

My feeling is that once a Bravo has been spinning in one direction for years, you might not want to change it to the other direction......due to the wear pattern on the gear set.
