I waited one day too many to cut the lawn for the last time.... :D

Damn Boxy, I hate it when the Kids get ahold of them styrofoam BB's :smash:

The wind blows and scatters them all over the place. I would have somebody's butt :uzi: If they got all over my nice Deere John tractor like that.

If it gets too bad, you can always come down here for the weekend- soak up th sun and suds.

and of course it didn't go easily... entirely too sober I believe.

Of course, had to take the JD 345 complete with snow blower and tire chains out for a test drive. Makes quite the leaf blower, but the wife and the squirrels weren't too excited.

Now where the heck is that rabbit fur bomber hat?

Maybe it is just me, but I am not TO SURE I like what happens in the East. (Northeast)

My Banana palms are fine, I have two huge new "shoots", fresh inner foliage waiting to fan on the palms and still, there are leaves falling.

Cold, but still 55F or so.

You guys scare me.

Bad news from Florida, Debbie lit off the fireplace tonight. Of course I think its more due to the fact she has been wanting to do it since we moved in on June 10th than the ambient temperature. :)

Scott, that's what she wanted to do the first night we stayed here. :biggrin.:

I like the CD's you can buy of a fire burning.
Best of both worlds!
I LOVE my air conditioning!
We only have it off maybe 15-20 days a year.
It's great in the summer to keep the temp at night on about 65* and bundle up like it's really cold.

Yeah, in most cases that would be correct.
We built a house 10 years ago, one of my criteria was a heat recovery system to heat the water in the 80 gal. water heater. It's EXTREMELY effective. Virtually all year long the WH never comes on. Additionally, the AC is quite a bit more efficient by giving up heat.
Until this year, high energy costs you know, our electric bill has seldom gone over $200.00/ mo. This year it's probably been $250.00/mo.
Best $400.00 I ever spent. :wavey:

Weather report says it's going to be 23 chilly degrees tomorrow night. Pretty remarkable for the first frost! I think the 50 mph (what is that in knots??) wind from the north might be the culprit. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Cuda, do you live on 69 Mockingbird Lane?

We used to do the airconditioned fireplace thing all the time in Florida... made about as much sense as driving the Stang with the top down and the AC blasting, but it gave life in seasonless Florida a smidge more normalcy...
