What do I know, but aren't the lifting strakes wrong for a Donzi?
Maybe a Magnum?

---------Im not betting my last dollar on it, but I would bet a bunch that the boat pictured is no GT21 or DONZI for that matter. The strakes are wrong, yes, but also the interior configuration is totally different. True GTs never had those storage bins on the side. Quite the reverse, they had a ledge down either side that a top mount shifter/throttle combo was mounted to. Most GTs also had the center console for most of the smaller guages although not all of them came that way. There was also a dash top that was affixed to the deck and rolled down into the passanger compartment to hold the big guages. The pics are bad but not bad enough to see that all the above is different on this boat. The strakes are the most visual difference as a true GT had strakes very similar to a 22 Classic up near the front where you see thse strakes. Im not willing to guess what it is, just what it isnt!...............Bill S

Where's Matty , Is It A 20' Cigarette ?

I'm here no not a 20 cig the fairing for the windshield is wrong, the interior padding on the sides is wrong, no ski locker across the front?? something about this boat , ad also wrong 68 mph out of a ford volvo combo in an 18 or 16 would be ok I've seen 2 x 18 with warmed up 383 or a 6.2 and volvos run in the 70's but a 21, would need an e drive for sure and 2 gallons of gas
and the seats are wrong for a gt didn't they have car style seats??

something shady on this one I'd pass

...they've chopped out features of the interior (console, side compartments, arm bolsters) and added new pedestal seats - the ad says it was 'restored'.

With the windshield off, 21GTs look alot different - I've studied several in detail (windshield on and off) and that raised lip on the deck is usually covered by the windshied and is where the front of the "dash" begins. Without a windshield it looks like an altered deck.

The dark front-end picture is with a striped tonneau cover on, but in the picture it looks like the deck, that may be throwing positive "I.D.ing" off.

I can see removing the console and the seats but the ledge in the liner is missing that runs from back seat to front seat, that would mean a total rework to the liner??? the gunwales look to short in the back but that could be the pic and the bottom is way off would be nice to see a transom shot

oh that dark blue gt with the twin 351's is my dream!!!!

Could it be the one which fell off the trailer and was decorated by an irate girlfriend? (Not Poodle's, although that would add provenance...)

Toona, it's extremely rare that I read a word that sends me to the dictionary.

A noun
1 birthplace, cradle, place_of_origin, provenance

where something originated or was nurtured in its early existence; "the birthplace of civilization"

Thanks for expanding my vocabulary! :)

Thanks for expanding my vocabulary! :)

Actually, you can credit "Antiques Roadshow" for my familiarity with the word. (Which is all I can receive right now as I feverishly fight with rabbit ears in a vain attempt to find CBS...)

A 1958 Cadillac Eldorado convertible with a bill of sale signed by Elvis Presley would have provenance!

There I used it in a sentence! ;)
