What can I expect for cruise and top end speeds for 18 classic 350EFI .

Will bravo drive be faster than an alpha ?

I get 63 GPS at 1000 ft. fresh water, full fuel, 2 people, lots o' cary ons(well as much as you can cram in an 18). 350 MAG MPI, 4600 RPM, 25 Mirage + and Bravo1.
I think I'm missing some RPM's but my racing buddy is going to hook me up over the winter. I'd like to hit low to middle 70's.

Ohhh, it very possible... I have seen 66.7 on GPS in flat water with my '04 350 mag, Bravo with a 23 M+. And that was before I knew it's sweet spot(s). I figure with a prop change in the spring and some choppy water, 70 should be obtainable. This is by far the "most fun boat" I have ownedhttp://www.donzi.net/ubb/smile.gif

KJWas that shot taken at the sarasota event? anyway I believe ya'll could deliver some donations for the registry with that shot. blow it up a bit and get george to sign it. I would give $ 75 - $100. That is the best donzi shot I do believe I have ever seen, Tom

:checkered I had a 1999 18 classic with the 350 mag mpi. I put IMCO exhaust and an alpha ss drive and ran a 25 p. cleaver prop.
on any given day the boat would run 74.9 mph on GPS with me and about a 1/4 tank of gas in it.

Not sure how many noticed just how stable and well balanced Geo's boat is, check the relaxed grip on the steering wheel and the look of confidence or comfort on his face. Many have said it runs on rails!

Aha the Frosty one returns! 120 has been said a few times, Mailed George awhile back about how the boat did with the Arnesen Rocker plates and if he did any mods like remove the fin from the bottom of the skeg. Got his input and do hope he posts what his thoughts are about how they work for him.

URL for George's boat on Arnesen site:

Kirk tell me that photo is a spoof. If you dont I will think that it is possible to get it up like that.

Still looking for the right deal on a classic and I guess it will be time to put the whaler "on the market".

Kirk tell me that photo is a spoof...

I don't know Kirk, but he may just be spoofing you about the photo being a spoof. I saw Mighty Mouse earlier in her evolution and even then she was more than I could comprehend. I think the stakes have since been raised considerably...

I don't care how stable - I'm not going there

No spoof.

Catch 22 and myself were daring enough to take Geo up on his offer for a ride.
He asked me how fast did I want to go, I said, "you know, what ever you're comfortable with". I knew I was in trouble when he handed me a 5 point harness life jacket and said, "You'll be needing this then".

We GPS'd at 106 three times across the bay at Sarasota. He wouldn't take us any faster as the damn Pelicans were a threat to our health and well being. He was the worlds fastest Donzi for a while with a recorded top speed of 121 mph. We went to the factory that same weekend and the race team declared that they had beaten his speed. I cant remember what it was, but they did mention that it was scary!

Now that's a thrill!
