The exhaust manifolds are plugged from metal rusting inside them. I am trying to replace them and they say at the parts house it will take 6 months to get them. I can't believe that so does anyone know where I could get them quicker?
The motor is a 1989 460 ci Ford. The part number for the manifolds is 984681. The cost I was quoted was $1400. Thanks for any help. That price includes the goose necks also. Also can the old manifolds be cleaned up in any way?

About $1200 (+ shipping???) at Doug Russell Marine for a pair of manifolds and risers - see link (http://www.dougrussell.com/partscatalog/volvo_omc/index.cfm?fuseaction=comp&group=727&GroupList=720,721,722,723,724,725,726,727,729,728, 730,731,732,733,734,735,736,737,738)
I wonder if after market high performance exhaust are available for the BB Ford? Surely so?

Center rise style right? Do you want cast iron or aluminum?

Center rise yes. Which ever is better. The ones on there now are cast iron.

This may be an option - click the "search" button above and search for "hi-tek". http://www.american-hi-tek.com/
They made some stainless manifolds/risers for Moody Blu's 351 Ford. I saw a 460 reference on their web site
or maybe Custom Marine ($$$) - http://www.custommarine.com/index.htm

I think Stainless Marine sells a BB Chebby manifold conversion and they make the adapter flanges for a 460 Ford to use the BBC manifolds..

Heres a link to www.cpperformance.com
and here's a page link for a set of Hardin exh manifolds for a 460 ford big block with no need of any Chevy to Ford flange adapters, this is a direct fit.

These are those adapters if you have a set of B/B chev exh manifolds at a good price.

I just got off the phone with my supplier, they no longer offer big block Ford manifolds, small block only. Sorry.
If you are not interested in going to Hi Perf exhaust maybe buy the CP adapters and use stock Chevy BB stuff which is very available and fairly reasonable.
