Curious as to whether I can leave my "holes" in the transom with new Merc exhaust or a re-glass fill deal is in the works.

I woud like to just bolt on some 4" manifolds and tweak the hose to align with the existing thru-hulls...

I have no idea how flexible it is.

Where does your exhaust exit ? below or at waterline?
You may need an S-pipe or a couple of elbows.

I found some slightly flexible 4" hose at a place in Franklin Wi. called Kendor corp. Ph.#414-421-4370. FAX 414-421-7236. Website that I can only get to sometimes www.kendormarine.com

Lenny,

I don't have a LOT of experience with the hose, but I would say on an ! 18" run you wouldn't wasnt to be off target more than an inch in any direction.

Lenny do a search on the net for fiber glass exhaust parts, there is some really good problem solvers out there. Or do what I have done many times, get F/G exhaust tubing V notch it to get the offset you need then glass over the V notches.

Flexible... NO... it'll deflect a "slight" bit but trust me... it is no picnic if your alignment is off even a 1/4 inch... if you bend it too far it'll just kink and collapse on you...
