View Full Version : St John's River
We went down to the river for lunch today. It's still extremely high, but it crested last night.
This is the bench on the dock where you can sit and drink beer. :spit:
The water is right at the bottom of the seat. :eek!:
Here's Deb eating her gator tail. Just beyon her is the outdoor dining area. It's completely under water, it even has hyacinths floating in it.
Just threw this in because he was so cute.
We went dove hunting this afternoon, and we saw this otter run across the road and get in the pond. I swear they seem to be the happiest critters in the world. :biggrin.:

Cuda, I am working close to you, Seminole County, and will be back there come Tuesday. I got to go out on Police and Game and Wildlife boats touring the St. Johns from Lakes Harney to Monroe a few times. It was amazing to be able to take the boat right up to someone's picture window on Lake Jessup's shore.
Still haven't seen a gator, but I am sure I will before everything is done! The boat patrol guys promise they'll show me more than a few as soon as the waters recede a bit. :alligator

Rayjay, I've never yet failed to see a gator at the Hwy 44 bridge at dusk. Big ones!
