I found a very good general reference several years ago;
The Fiberglass Boat Repair Manual,
A guide to cosmetic and structural repairs of fiberglass boats-
large or small, saqil or power.
by Allan H Vaitses

International Marine Publishing
PO Box 220
Camden, ME 04843

ISBN 0-87742-228-1

This is a good resourse even for those wrecked boats you might find yourself bidding on here in Florida.

If you bought this boat from Rust N Rot (Tom Lange) I'm sure you found a good restorable project.

Good luck;

You should be using walnut shells and in theory you will have fresh, barely pitted gelcoat beneath, and a wetsand and rubbing compound and polish should bring you back. If this is not possible, STAY AWAY from sand blasting as you will lose all the fairing lines...and it will be filler hell.
