I Am Having An Intermittent Alarm Go Off While I Am Cruising In My 18 Classic. I Read The Manual And It Tells Me That An Intermittent Beep Means That It Has Low Drive Oil. However I Just Changed The Drive Oil And It Is Properly Filled. I Was Wondering If Anyone Here On The Board Has Had This Issue ,and How To Reset The Alarm Or How To Fix The Alarm. Would Appreciate Any Help!!!

You are certain that the drive is full of oil and the clear plastic reservoir is filled to the line??? You are using Merc high-perf gear lube, or equivalent, right?

yes as Ranman said.. remote drive resevoir bottle WITH the float sensor in it mounted on the motor... if you drained the drive you most likely drained the bottle too...

It is common that the level drops after a change. It also occurs on a new boat purcahse. After running, then at rest, recheck levels and fill as necessary.

Hope it works well. we may have a similar situation here but we took the boat to the car wash the other day and washed it with a high pressure nozzle. Right after when we got back home it was leaking some fluid from the lower unit near the bottom under the prop. Any ideas what may be happening here? Bravo drive by the way. Thanks for any help, Tom

More than likely the prop shaft seal is leaking.
