Where are you located in Jersey? The two well known paints for great protection are PPG Concept (single stage) of Imron 5000 (single stage). They both have a basecoat/clearcoat systems...but Iheard guys saying the clear sometimes "yellow". I BC/CC my 66 and not problems... Lots of people like Imron...but finding someone to paint is a task and if you do look at $$$ for painting it.

I would be interested in Scott Pearson's response and recommendation. I am also in NJ (Morris County) and would like to consider having the red deck stripe on my Classic 22 repainted.

I use all PPG products. I have painted many of boats with the system and have had great success. It helped that I worked for PPG for 12 years also  . Any whooooo.....I would be willing to look at a few more side jobs. I have 2 right now I'm finishing up....I will post some pictures later.

i am also refinishing the hull as well as the bottom of my 18' 2+3,,,,, are the ppg products prone to blisters below the waterline? i've considered re-gelcoating, but if someone can recommend a durable [and beautiful] bottom finish, i would much rather take that route. :crossfing
