Sweet boat, and with a windshield! Those pictures look as if they came from a brochure. Great shot of the old Eaton drive, and of the original shifter knob (just like Pearson's!). What are they asking, since I don't speak Dutch.

Fancy drive, nice boat. Does anyone know any more about that Eaton drive, who made them, where, and when..

Cheers

Eaton, early mid 60's, love the trailer position  they were very week and once the Volvos were available many Eaton boats got Volvos including mine, I 've heard of some spinning off the boat while onplane.
But none the less if that boat is in that kind of condition it truely is a museum piece, and I would not run it as parts for the eaton are scarce

I contacted them about the boat. The boat is sold. It went to Europe. Too bad someone from the board did not get this gem.

Eatons were made in Warren, Michigan. Then they melded into Volvo at some point, somehow.
My '67 came with an "Eaton Interceptor" manual, but the schematics and drawings in it are identical to a Volvo AQ200.

:sweden: If I push on the stern drive will the engine turn? :jestera: :rlol: :jestera:

I completely forgotten that the Eaton Stn drv did that. Now I remember when I was a kid working at a marina during my summer vacation back in the mid sixties they we're common on PennYan boats,

Brian, did they say how much it sold for? or even the asking price? Tom

I asked 34,000 US and I sold it very close to the asking price. The boat was like brand new and original, about 100 hours. I've sold it to finance all my other Donzi projects.

Love the cigarette lighter!!

better than the lighter is what looks like the ultra rare and mega cool Donzi prop logo gauge blank in the dash.

the early pics i have of this boat shows it was supercharged at one time( the two added gauges under the dash plate)?? this is hull 16-136 right?????

A bigger picture for the archives of the 1965 Ski Sporter 16. It must still be in Sweden all these years later.

:biggrin:The boat has only had one owner and has stood unused in a garage since the early 1970 's.
This is a unique boat in very good condition with all the original features intact.
For those of you who are looking for something extra and appreciate the timeless design and performance are the Donzi an obvious choice.
The engine is a Ford V8 165bhp Inteceptor with Eaton drive..:tooth:.

I was just wondering for comparison...

"Shelby's first Mustang was the 1965 Shelby GT350; a powerful race car ... Unfortunately, with a base price of $4,547, the car was too expensive for most consumers. ..."
