Well fired off the 383 today, how sweet it is. My engine guy had me hold my hand on it while he revved it a bit, we are both super pleased with the Lunati glass smooth stroker kit. At 650 RPM a nickel on edge stands still on the air cleaner, going to be tough not dropping it in to get some break in time. Won't get it home until next week, it takes him 1/2 a day to hook it up and play with it and a bit longer to get it ready for me to take home including first oil change. Rootsy it hit your numbers with tube headers and huge stock mufflers, he thinks it will run a bit better with the open exhaust and a 750 instead of the 650 on it now. Damn it will be hard waiting, but need to get the 300 out and do some bilge work and mount the new drive stuff. Might as well finish up the season with the old motor, hmmm how long until spring!!

I will have to post some of the pics that I shot over time as it went together, last night and did a rough on what I have in it so far. I freaked out and know it is not ended yet, will tell that tale when done.

Like to know the specs on that 383, if you don't mind sharing. Intend to do a winter project and do the same as you. Did you have a spare 350 block to build upon? Didn't know Lunati made a 383 kit. Since they do, what does it include? What cam? Wish you luck on the 383 project.

Military Secret??

Nah could not find photos, dug up some this AM. It is a bit over built for the 50 cruise I want and should be bullet proof, it did go a bit over budget as this stuff always does. I hope the experiment with the BH drive works out with the flat bottom, some say yes some say no, keeping my fingers crossed.
The Root did a desk top dyno, the numbers looked pretty decent. A few shots and a link to a few more.

Gee MOP, you can't hide money! Looks nice! Lots of good parts. You it did right building it up on a 010 block with very little core shift. I built my 383s using the same block and and 200cc Dart Iron Eagle heads, just didn't use as nice (and expensive!) of a stroker kit. That should be great combination for going fast and lasting a long time.
