Went by to see this beauty yesterday. Nice boat and nice people.Hard to believe it is over 30 years old. Motor was very sweet and the asking price seems to be fair. These X's are harder and harder to find expecially in good condition. Will be glad to answer any questions anyone has. Tom

Oh !!! I almost forgot, have you had the deck off ever?, are there any gas tank issues? (I assume a steel one) and how is the coring on the foredeck? Thanx in advance.

Cig, a few real ones never hurt anyone. ;)

Lenny, no.....I bought SeanO's 28 Cigarette and now cant afford another X-18. I saw it at the owners rally and its beautiful.
Lenny, why dont you add this one to your fleet? :anchor:

Kinda seems like Brandon and Jack dont want to sell it now
after the attention it was getting at the owners rally......

Brandon/Jack...how are those logs cooled? I don't see a crank mounted pump, I don't see a pile of hoses off the thermostat housing?

Nice boat though. It would be great with a little sprucing up. Similar color to Geo's X. If you need any assistance while in Florida or some good places to eat while you are here, give Rose and I a shout 256-777-0844. We are in the cocoa to winter park area. Had owned a '76 X-18 for 10 years. We just sold it and are still missing it but can show you the '69 barrel back we just picked up. Tom

Lenny, look closer you can see a pully driven water pump. As for how the water hoses are routed your guess is as good as mine...it's a wierd setup for sure. The logs are watercooled, a hose enters them at the front and also right at the joint by the riser....

If your gonna be down this way, come on by and take a look, I have become a fan of the X though

Being that you (or the boat) is about 175 miles or so from where I land by plane, I would want to know if it IS for sale or not. A car rental and 8 hours of driving or so isn't all that fun if I can only look at it. I can look at the pics above and get the same satisfaction and be more comfortable. ;)

Let me know :)

I've seen a few others plumbed this way, they run too cold for my liking not good for the motor. They pump it in the front and take the water out of the heads feeding the logs. Its an idea tried by a few to run high compression with iron heads.
