All, I will be going from Texas (Austin) to Providence, Rhode island, and maybe beyond, via motorcycle in October. A benefit from my employer, 2 months paid time off after 7 years of employment!

Anyway, if you have any suggestios for places to see, post them now!

I'll be on a sport touring bike by my lonesome. I've got some friends and family scattered along the way.

-------About half an hour past R.I. is Cape Cod. October is the best month they have there anymore as far as tourists and traffic is concerned. It truly is a beautiful area..........Bill S

Mystic Seaport is nice, this time of year, plus when your in Rhode Island go visit Newport RI, very nice have all the old masions on display, If you feel like going up further North go to Maine, Bar Harbor, plus in Maine you got LL Bean which is open 24 hours, Go to Boston, maybe catch a Sox game even though the suck :embarasse Go Yankees :hyper: In CT we have the two largest Casino's Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, both are only 20 minutes from eachother and have good food and of course gambling. If I think of anything else I add on to the list good luck, PS bring a helmet Rhode Island is tough on that. The Rat

Keep em' coming.
Will I be dodging rain for most of October in the Northeast?

FYI, I always wear a helmet, cycling jacket and gloves.

Just remember you will be going to New England and the weather here can change in about 15 minutes, so you want to be ready for anything, here is October it tends to get cooler, not as much rain, but it does get cool, I have even seen snow, hope that helps.

Nice ride. One of my 'Guzzistas did an iron butt on that trek last year. What are you riding?
