Attention Z21 owners or past owners Need Help!!

Hopefully someone can help me, or give me some heads up.. I just discovered that my gas tank is leaking on my 1987 z21.. I started cutting the foam out from around the tank to get it loose, But im not exactly sure how easy it's gonna come out, it's a really tight fit. If anyone's done this, what was the best way to do it? or how did you get it past the rear seat? Any help please!! THANKS

I had a 1987 Z-25 with the same problem. I did indeed replace the fuel tank, and I did the work myself; so, I might offer some tips for you. It would be too long for a post; so, give me a call and I'll walk you through it.

hey donzigo...Thanks for offering to help me, I went ahead and tried to get it out, and I got it! Barely but I did, talk about a tight fit! I found a crack about 2 inches long in the bottom. So Im gonna try to have it fixed tomorrow so I can get out on the boat for labor day.. THANKS again for all the help dude!!
