I had a slow morning at work and a standing offer from Peter Hledin to stop by the shop. So, I made the 20 minute drive South to Douglas Marine the mecca of fast offshore cats. I didn't grab any pics--sorry. There was an all carbon fiber 399 Skater V in the mold, that'll give a 38ZR a run for its money. I spent quite a bit of time with the paint guys there are some awesome graphics that they have going on the new boats. There were about 18 boats on the floor in various states of completion including a 46 with 600 HP Seatek diesels and Arneson ASD-8 drives. They have the capability to do everything in house from tooling, to rigging, and even fabricating trailers. And for those that want to chase down GEOO, they even have a one of a kind 24' cut deck with 2.5 EFI Mercs that the owner backed out of if you wanna make an offer. All-in-all a very cool place and Pete is a really great guy, very down to earth.
