Hey Guys,
A buddy of mine has a Mercruiser 140 in his boat. He had to replace the electric fuel pump, so i told him to get a Holly Red marine pump. He did and when he hooked it up he said it was dumping fuel into the carb from to much pressure. Should the pressure not be between 4-7 psi? He put a regulator on it to lower the pressure and i told him that if the motor starts to sputter at wot that he may need to open up the reg. He also had the carb rebuilt prior. I suspect something else is wrong. What are your thoughts ??
