I don't think it is a '69 mind you, maybe a '67, otherwise earlier. Buy it now at $10K

'67's had two vents, didn't they?

Those are original vents. Not the new perko crap you see all the time.

Big lift rings, donzi script down side, but certainly updated in many areas. I thought barrelbacks were last produced in '67.

I've got a 68 barrelback. As far as I know they were last produced in 68, but It's possible that this one was a left over and then sold in 69. It would help to get the hull #. It has to be after mine which is c18-225, seeing as mine is a 68. Hope this helps.

where would you find the hull #? On the x-18 it was behind the back seat cushion. would the serial # of the boat have it in that? like SLZK2307H869?
thanks, Tom

My 18 barrel back was titled as a 1970. According to one of the Chisolm brothers, it was probably at the lake house of a Donzi exec for a couple of years and then sold as a demo. The original motor was cast in 1967. Hull number C18215 is on a foil sticker behind the rear seatback and written in magic marker under the deck and behind the dash.

this barrel back donzi hull # is c 18 217 which may make since that it is a 69' model. that is what the title says anyway. hmmm, Tom

has bubbles in the deck gelGot to see it today. what is it worth? Let's see, a solid classic barrel back hull 3k -5k, newer interior, 1.5k -2k, new bravo drive with 2 lower drives, 5k-10k, Dart heads 2k, holly carb, 400, high rev intake 250, aluminum exhaust manifolds, 2k, guages, hardware, acc. 1k, nice trailer, 1k, = a bargain. oh yea there is a high rev motor in there somewhere. it's got to be worth something. Seriously saw a older survey on it for 28,000 replacement cost, probably double that for a new 18 today. It definately needs the deck gell coated though. what would that normally cost? Tom
