More info on the budget Scarab Build.
Engines are moving slowly. Bought a set of 502 heads from someone on the web. Had them checked out at the Machinist after I got them and found that they were cracked. I Called the party who sent them and they are sending another set after they have them magnafluxed.
Finally got my K-Planes. I had a longer set that I traded for for the smaller ones. I am cleaning the pumps this weekend.
I have scored a set of Stellings Stainless jacketed Tube headers for a rediculously low price. I won't get them for another month.
I got a 2 year old set of Gaffrig gauges and anodized Bezels for a little bit of nothing. I won't get these for a couple of weeks.
I am bead blasting my gauge panels this weekend and then powder coating them with my neighbors Eastwood Powder coating setup.
Tonight I scored a dual ram Latham external steering setup for free. It also included tilt steering and a steering wheel.
I have been doing a friend of mine lots of favors and he decided to gve it to me for NADA, Zipp! SAWEEEET!
