My fuel gauge is stuck on the 1/2 mark. So here's what I've done:
Checked the voltage from sender with tank 8 gallons down, read 5.35. Checked again with full tank, voltage now reads 7.75 volts.
I assume from this that the gauge is probably the culprit, provided that 7.75 volts is proper with a full tank.
I sure don't want to have to pull out the sending unit, doubt that I'll get another one back in with ruining it. Tight squeeze!
Any advice is appreciated, Thanks

Faria makes a fuel manager. Displays gph, total, remainder, etc. I bought one from Mear Image who sells on eBay. I think it was about $180.00. it can be a lot more useful than a fuel gage. It installs in fuel line before carb.

Thanks George,
I looked at a similar unit a little while back. It was a "Navman" and had to be installed before the fuel pump. Is yours that way also?
I think what you did is the way to go, and it can just replace the fuel gauge.

David, the Faria Fuel Manager only says to install vertically after the fuel filter (that's a no brainer) and away from excess heat.
I'm planning on putting mine in the line going up to the intake manifold.
:wrench: ;)
