Tripped and stuffed... Broke right in front of the bulkhead, they were really lucky!! Boat had a heck of a race career, glad to see in the end she protected her crew.

OK, so I have a warped sense of humor, but you gotta laugh.. That's a hell of a bilge pump :D :D

all i have to say is WOW

Why was it still afloat?
Did it have a watertight bulkhead?

It always amazes me to see how a strong hull like that can disintegrate when that much force is put to it.

Musta been some wild ride

I have some questions;
Is this a glassed over WEST system plywood hull?
Did it have a watertight bulkhead?
How old is it?
I suppose it has landed hard many times, does anyone have any idea if this was a case of simple overload, or maybe fatigue?

Sutphen 33 I think.. Been racing since the early-mid 90's. Conventional plywood core and stringers are sandwiched plywood. Stout boats, no clue why this time it broke..

I would say, the wind, the wave, the time.....mother nature.....she had her day and ripped it to pieces

id say there was some stress fracture, but whom am i to say. :beer: im drunk :propeller
