I went to drop off my 16 at the shop and they had just brought in a nice looking baby blue 1972 x-18 for winter storage. They said the boat had 600hp and ran up to 83mph, but chine walked very badly. the gel coat looked orginal and in pretty good shape. he said it did have a #3 speedmaster, but they kept chewing it up. it had a 270 drive with trim now. this was in Indian River MI at Howe marine.
does anyone know the owner of the boat? he'd be pretty cool to hang with next year.
