Extreme Makeover Home Edition

“Extreme Makeover Home Edition” is currently rebuilding a house that belongs to friends of our friends. I know, close relation… but it is kind of neat. We were there last night for a while; it’s about three miles from my house. They must have about sixty people at one time working on this 1,100 square foot house. Their one child is handicapped and can not fly so they drove them up the Mackinaw Island in a limo, they are staying at the Grand Hotel for the week. The show also pays for the surrounding neighbors to stay in a local hotel for the week. You will be able to see it on ABC in late October. It is the house in Oak Park, Michigan.

One of the best shows on TV, and one the only shows I try and make a effort not to miss. That's is too cool to know the real people that are getting the home makeover.

Here are links to some photographs of the project. Both of the home owners are deaf and one of their two children is deaf and autistic. Most of the money spent on this house went into technology. Randy, it was nice to see you and Jenn there last night, although you didn't get to see Ty... and I told you John was going to be the winner in Last Comic Standing!
