Trim pump help

OK guys,I need a little help, please. :wrench: :wrench:
If you look at this trim sematic, it shows the power coming direct from the battery, is this the way to do this, or can I take it from the starter solenoid and the engine ground lug?

George mine came stock connected to the starter hot lead on the 22.

I wired mine that way, myself. Ditto on what MOP said.
