28 donzi/performer [Archive] - The Donzi Registry

boat trader has a 1980 donzi/performer listed with twin diesels. Is this a true donzi or a spinoff? does anyone know of these boats?

i heard from more than one person that performer actually bought the molds from donzi--or the company that was producing the sportsman-----hull is suppose to be exactly the same----but the deck mold was changed----steering was moved to the starboard side , windshield was changed, changed from v-drives to straight inboards,.......

Copied in 1969 by Dick Ridgway, then sold to Performer.

That particular fishing model was built by my friend Al "Goat Face" Sutton as a one-off in 1976. He got busted in it the same year. Don't know how Performer got it.
