Lifting ring

While checking over things with a moisture meter I got medium reading by the three bolts securing the aft lifting ring to the transom. Water runs down the shank and onto the bracket and seeps into the transom. I pulled the bolts and probed the holes was solid but damp, when it has dried will now seal it and re-bolt it. Donzi does not seal the angle iron to the transom making this a potential problem area well worth fixing now before you have trouble.

6 days of having a small electric fan sucking air through the engine compartment the moisture meter now reads 0, re-bolted with a slather of silicone, Damn glad I caught that before it got rotten.
