Platinum Or Not

Are Platinum Tipped Spark Plugs Only To Be Run With Electronic Ignition Or Can They Be Used With Points ?

I like Platinums and have run them a lot, I have Jacobs Ignition which has a sticker on the pack that say not to run Platinum, split or multi prong. Also I now know from experience the Dodge computer does not like them, but my Audi came with them apparently the system needs to be setup for them.

But with a standard point set up I would not hesitate.
