With all the talk about Satan's Chariot over the last 5 years on this board, I can't believe there is no interest in the fact that it is for sale!

Oh no, watch it, Debbie, he's gonna bring home an EDSEL, now that he has all the boats he can put in the yard. I knew that there was a reason you bought a hose with property on the St, Johns.

-------Maybe nobodys saying much because there are a bunch of bidders among us and we dont want to spook anybody.
-------Actually talked to the owner the other day and he sounds like a stand-up guy. Hes bought a much larger boat (Hatteras 63) and just doesnt see himself getting much use out of the Chariot anymore. I asked about handling gremlins and he stated that with the present power it runs somewhere around 60 and handles like a dream. Don A. was running these boats about 15mph faster. I suspect that with the Volvo 200s and no trim he has so much hull wetted that he is probably right. If power trim were added and you could get the boat up a bit it and added some mph the handling might be a bit different. I hope someone we all know ends up with this piece of history...........Bill S

When I first got my 18 it came with a 200. It always felt like I was dragging a bedspread around behind the boat. One strong drive though, it handled everything I threw at it. Until I "fixed" the old 289. Gone now.
