I don't know much about them other than I thought they looked cool when I was a kid. There used to be a lime green 24' named the Exorcist running around So. Jersey that had a big block and a Berkely Jet (very cool).

My buddy had one with a big block and a trs. Solid 60mph way back when. It was brown metallic. We also say one 15 years ago on a vacation in florida. It was a monster. Over 30 ft. The kid who owned it saw it when it was brand new at a boat show behind a large hotel near treasure island. A great big old art deco place that was saved seconds before imploding. Later on when he opened a ski and clothing shop years later, he saw it in a boat yard looking rank. He bought it and fixed it up. As I type it is neat that I remember him saying he had a couple of Donzis. I remember it was the island south of Treasure Island. Cool time. I had hair then.

Looked at a used one a few years ago with my friend who has since got the new 28ZXO.

I clearly remember the difference a missing foot or so of beam makes in a boat that size !

My friend has one with big blocks and bravo's. It runs decent but has a bad gel coat job. You can see the weave pattern of the glass matte all over the boat. Other than that it has a very sharp look to it.

The first offshore boat I ever rode in was a 1982 24 foot Excalibur. I'll never forget it. It was a beautiful boat, it ran 55 mph with a 330/454.

I believe Chris Craft produced the early Excalibur's. However I do not know if Wellcraft bought the line or just started using the name when Chris stopped making them for their own line of Stinger's.

Does anyone remember what brand "cigarette" boat "Sonny" Crockett drove in the 1st year of Miami Vice?

CC Stinger, then they switched to a Wellcraft 38 Scarab KV..

One of the first TV merchandising deals where money exchanged hands.

We used to have a 24 ft excalibur with a 454 I believe. I'm not very sure of the history but I know my dad still has the original graphics drawings that came on it (though we changed it). If you want more info send a PM or email to JerryEisele (djeisele1@netzero.com)

They sure were beautiful boats; anyone have any idea how many were made and what was the build quality like?
I'd like to have one of the 24' or 27' boats.

If you can't find an Excalibur 24 but can settle for a copy this hull was copied many times. Who the first was I don't know but there are many people who built that hull.

Did you notice who was in the boat?
Reggie took the 32' Excalibur and added a large 17" pad to the bottom and the 10Meter Executioner was born, early one's like shown did not have the Fountain beak.
The "Perfect 10" phase II ran close to 90MPH with stock Merc 475HP Turbo motors.

It has been said that it was the most copied hull of all time.

And probably one of the best looking hull designs IMO.

Turky is a close friend of mine, and really wants to sell this boat. He put it on ebay about 2 years ago, but has since had a stroke. He is still going through therapy, and will never have the chance to restore this boat. If anyone is interested in the "Brown Sugar" please let me know, and I will get you as much info as possible.
Thanks, Ricky...seeya...
