Any recomendation for companies who will insure a stock 22' Classic? All info is much appreciated, as my first 2 calls today yielded "Uh, sorry, we dont insure those kind of boats, good luck!!!"
So i quit calling, and thought I'd ask the experts.
(Anybody wanna share what they're paying, just for comparison sake???)
Thanks in advance.

Last time I checked, State Farm was fairly reasonable.

We found the same thing, it goes how fast, how much hp, and finally, Oh you live in the Keys, SORRY we don't insure water craft in Monroe Co. Anyway the best we could find was w/Progressive 1 yr. March 04 thru March 05 full coverage (dam bank) 500.00 deductible Total 12 month policy premium $3,585.00 . CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP!!!

1986 22 Classic value $12,000 Progresive Ins. $384.00 $1000 deductable, $500,000 liabilty, $1,000 personal effects April 1 through October 15 with layup coverage. Progressive has just started covering NY so these may end up being teaser rates until next season. I think the year round guys get hit a fair bit more, the penalty for having a lot more fun time!

Greg, just bought my insurance for my '05 22 with 496HO last Fri. State Farm blew away the competition. $475/yr 500 deductable. I'm 26. So maybe they would be good for you too. Progressive was next closest. $550/yr. Boat US was 1600/yr :eek!:
