I got a good chance to try out my new Vector prop 26P today. My MPH is down 6 and RPM'S are 4800. My old Quicksilver 25P was 5400 and 76. It sure seems like a BIG drop. Is there a good shop that could reduce the pitch 1? Or any other suggestions would be welcome. The boat sure handles better a cruse but seems sluggish.

I do not have an answer for you, but perhaps if you mentioned what boat, power, modifications... other members who have a similar package might chime in with what they are using. Good luck,

I was told it had over 500HP I need a good prop repair shop and would like suggestions on which would be the best way to increase my RPM'S about 200.
Thanks

I would try to swap the prop back to the dealer for a 25, he would probably want a fee. Two points his fee may be less than re-working costs and secondly the metal does not have to be worked.

I had the same results with the turbo vector,if you are looking for a good handling boat and a respectable top end, find a hydromotive prop to try...

I have a 22 and I just went to a 502 HO from a 454 Mag, I have 1:36 bravo and was running a Hydromotive IV 22 with the new 502, 435HO I am running a 25 spinelli 4 blade and the boat handles like a dream, I haven't really pushed it but still have been able to run 72 GPS at 4800 and I know it still has some left, so I don't think you need 500hp just keep trying props you will find the right combination. If you could find a 26 Spinelli I think you will be happy (check E bay)
