In fact, I'm taking delivery of my new 18C (MX 6.2) on Saturday. I've got my fingers crossed for you, CG. Happy Holidays all!

I'm conflicted!

The optimist says yes!
The pesimist says probally not!

I vote yes! Gotta keep the positive vibes going!

my 2 yr rest. porject on my X-18 is going to come down to being done on fri. I feel like this is an orange county choppers project.
I'll post pics.
The test drive was yesterday and the mechanic called and said he forgot to plug up the exhaust hole (from prop) b/c of the through hull exhaust system, water was pouring in the engine compartment. :bonk:

Txtaz,
Thanks, But Hell or high water I will be out there. My dad still has his 22zx (no one bought the damn thing) but good for me. If not I will try to be on the Wendells little blue 67 Corsican. Rockport will be a blast this weekend you know how it is. Boats, girls, beer, and fireworks. I plan on making my first post to the donzi girls section after this weekend !!!!! (New Camera) Have fun and be safe!! ;)

Scott,
I have blown 3 engines since 1998! :angryfire
They were all cheap piles of junk.
But, this one is the one I can feel it.

Dax, I remember playing on that boat 20 years ago with Wade and Sean. BTW, we invented the Little Bay floating 4th of July party. Well, we had help from parents check books and thier barges, some of us had our little speed boats. Lucky us.
We are going to hang here and visit the lake a few days and take it easy. Have a BBQ, do some tubing. Have fun in Rockport.

Good Vibes CG. I hope it all works out. the 4th is a sho'nuf water day. All the SE TExas crew will be out there. I'll be draggin the HM along since his shiny Hull has no motors.

We actually raft up in Nassau Bay about 100 yards from The Fireworks Ground Zero...Feeling Fireworks is just as awesome as seeing them.

CG, I hate to say it, but if I had to place a wager, I'd have to bet it won't be here. I also bet that if I didn't have it by Friday, I wouldn't have it Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or any other day from the dealer that didn't deliver.

I think I'll get the Minx back on the water this weekend, if you feel like heading an hour or so south, we'd take you for a ride.

Hoping for the best for you. Anyway, there are usually great fireworks to be seen on the 4th a little north of you on Tybee Island.

Congrats,
I know how you feel. They did the test drive last night on my 76 X-18. Everything is sound and it is sitting in my parents driveway in Rockport, TX. That is the first run in 2 yrs. The mechanic promised me it’s completion by the 4th. I admit I had my doubts too. She is now fully restored to orig. except with 2003 outdrive. I will post pics later. It came down to hours in both of our situations. Have fun and be safe. I am glad it has all worked out for you.
