I have a 16 classic with a 350 in it. When I accelerate from a standing stop it kind of boggs down for a second or two until taking off. I am thinking being the non mechanic that I am that I might put some dry gas in the tank and see if that cures it. My questions are.
1. Can I use dry gas in the engine without hurting it?
2. Is the gas I am using causing the problem? They sell regular octane on the lake. Should I just bring in 93 octane?
3. Are their any other quick and easy fixes I can try before taking it to the marina?
Thanks

The 16 Classic is a 1995 model

I had some hesitation with mine after I got it. I put injector cleaner and 93 octane in it. Then replaced the plugs, distributor cap and rotor and plug wires. Now everything is good.
Hope this helps,
Wes

The timing should check that, if it is a carbed motor the accelerator pump in the carb can cause your hesitation. If it is carbed take the air cleaner off, with the engine not running pump the gas to see if the carb is shooting fuel out of the nozzles. And like Wes said some fuel system cleaner is always a good thing.
