I just purchased a 2003 22 classic with a 496 mag in it. It has the corsa captains call exhaust. I was hoping to find some information on what prop others are running on thier boats with a similar set up. (what speeds do u get out of the diff prop--i get 70 out of a 23 mirrage but it feels as if i should get more) also wondering what mods i could make to the exhaust that will not effect the warranty.

If its the 496 MAG motor you have approximately 375hp and 70 is pretty much right on the money. What rpm are you seeing on the tach? You could have the prop labbed, and pick up 1-2 mph. Leave the exhaust alone. If you want a bigger gain and have deeper pockets, an IMCO shortie lower unit would be your best bang for the buck, they cost around $2500 or so....

at 70 im running right about 4800 rpm. that is supposed to be redline for the 496 mag according to the owners manual (sounds low to me)
