Would like to talk to current owner(s) about their experiences with them. I don't see much chatter herein on this breed. There's a chance I may be moving up a _little_ in the near future. Why can't Donzi make the 26 in a BR ?? Might consider a Formula 232BR or 252BR, Chris 23BR or 25BR, Whipplecharged Z22?
I really like the ZXO though.

Bud,
I am in my second season with the 2001 ZXO. Bought it new in 2003 and put 185 hours on it last season. Slower start to the boating season this year but its early. Would be happy to discuss the boat - you can email me or call me at the office 518 583 7588.

I have mine set up with twin 5.7 ltr 260 hp (each). Turns alot of heads at the dock, I love the rumble when I vent thru the hull.

PS. I blow the doors off a local formula 232 BR and they are way too comon a boat anyway. Hope this helps

mine at 72 mph - I've heard 78 is top speed with larger engines. i can't see going that fast in an open bow. What I like most about mine is not the top speed but the fact that I can cruise at 50 mph in 3 foot seas and my wife is not giving herself black eyes :odie:

I haven't found anything wrong with the boat or setup. My kids tell me another radio control center mounted to the swim platform would be nice....Maybe if they made it 30' the cabin area would be etter for overnighting ....

They are great boats, You can get the 28ZXO with a single engine thats one reason why they don't make a 26. The 28ZX and the 26ZX are built on the same platform, The difference is the length in the nose, The cockpit and the beam are exactly the same.. If I was going to get a ZXO I would get twins, they sell better and have better resale. No matter what way you go the boat is one of the best on the market. She loves rough water I have run in some big water with my 26 and i dont care what everyone talks about thier is not any boat in that size that can keep up with me in big water. The 28ZXO is just a little better because she has another 1000lbs on her then my 26.. I drove several 28s and 2 ZXOs they run the same way. You Will Love The Ride!

Frank, I thought the 28 with twins would be about 1500-2000 lbs heavier with the extra engine/drive/length ?? The rack storage place by my house wants $400/month.... I can buy a helluva trailer for those $$$
With a ZXO inhouse, i'd be set for the next 10 years, and it would be paid for from the get go.
I am so satisfied with the 3 I have now, I am torn on letting any one go.... the Crit i'll be buried in, that's out of the equation, the 18 is just a frickin blast, and the Minx is unique.... my problem is the sun, I just can't take all_day_running in the sun any more. I have to have a top, place to escape... yada,yada...
Decisions, decisions....

Actually the weight is less but enough to give you a better ride, The 28ZX and the ZXO weighs 6500lbs and the 26ZX weighs 5800lbs. I love my 26ZX and i know you will love the ZXO

just add water

I purchase a 2003 ZXO last August and have loved every minute. Having the open bow has been great, especially when you end up with a few more people than you had anticipated. Last weekend we were out on Lake Michigan with 11 adults, and there was plenty of room, power and the ride was great. I took my boat to the CAT scales and with twin 5.0s it weighed in at 7200lbs. (the actual weight was 9300, but I am estimating the trailor at slightly over 2000lbs.)

I would definitely recomend twins, as it was said earlier, better resale and better handling.

I would love to see a 30'+ ZXO!
