Yeehaw, and what a deal he got! Now, take some of those savings and get that awful graffiti off her, pronto!

What a deal. The boat is better then he expected. It does have cosmetic issues but it's all there and the hull is solid. He is hoping to fire it up Friday and possibly drop it in the water this weekend (long shot). The boat didn't come with a prop. Does anyone have any idea what prop he should get? 454 340hp/TRS drive.

Put a 23 Mirage on it for starters.

Wow what a steal! Please keep us updated with how the boat is comming along! I have an 81' Hornet II that I restored, and this model boat holds a special place in my heart.

I am very curious about the windshield and how it is mounted. I took the windshield off my boat because it was in such bad shape. It was different than the one in the picture.

If you could post a pic showing how your windshield is fastened I would appreciate it. There are some pics of my boat on the Mt. Dora thread in the Events and Gatherings if you want to see a Hornet without the bench seat and windshield.

Have a blast! That sure is a neat boat you have!

No interior, engine pics yet. Here are some others. The original winshield was cut down by several inches, seams fiberglassed together and painted black.

WOW: nice job, I like the windshield mod, gives the boat a really different look I hope you can bring her up to Lake George in June so we can see her up close and personal, CT is not that far.
