Very nice ceremony this evening, with the formality of the proceedings, the strength of the family, and the Simi Valley sunset.

My wife asked about the origin of the 21 gun salute so I found this...it's pretty interesting:

Did anyone notice in Washington during the salute, there were three guns but only two fired. I guess the other was there "just in case".
Also does anyone know the branch and rank of the officer escorting mrs. Reagan?
