Suwannee this weekend update

Just wanted to start a new thread to see what the plans are. I plan on putting the Minx in the water tonight or tomorrow to see if I have the shift interupter adjusted properly, and if so, I taking it to Deland tomorrow. I plan on leaving Friday to head for the river. Does anyone plan on splashing a boat on Friday?

I can't catch a break. Debbie got here late this evening, so we ran to the lake to try the boat. First, I damn near launched it without the plug (kick save by Debbie), then I couldn't get it started. I don't know the idiosyncraties of this motor yet. Pump too much or not enough. Whatever I did, I wore the battery down trying. I'm really under the gun now. I have it on the charger, and I'll take some gas to prime it with in the morning, but I lost my co pilot.
